People aren't always fair. In fact, they very rarely are.
Well some people are stil very rasic and don't treat every one equaly. It has gotten better
Truthfully I would have to say that the morals overall a worse today of the people. Yet, they are different in many ways, morals were bad back then because of slavery. Today they are bad because of drugs, no church, and other problems like that.
To never judge a book by its cover. This means to not judge others even if you know them, rather than put yourself in their place.

People are still judging each other because of race and there are still racial issues.
Yeah I agree there are still a lot of racist people today like in the book, also there is good and bad mixed in all the situations we face today.

well for one....there is still racism and unfair treatment. there is still the bad guys and the good guys..which team are you on?
